Scientific research on cancer, diabetes and cardiopulmonary diseases is facilitated by dedicated funding sources. It has shown that research grants for the new topic surgical training, here meaning general principles for manual skill’s training, is more difficult to receive, as this research field is regarded as quite new and unexplored.
In 2012 we created our own foundation to slowly build up resources for dedicated funding of scientific studies on surgical training, certification and re-certification.
