Surgicon was established in Sweden 2010 and is an international network of surgeons and engaged stakeholders, working towards scientifically validated surgical training methods, for the benefit of every patient on an operating table. The Swedish branch of the network meets 3 times a year, with members from Gothenburg University Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Pedagogics, The Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Chalmers University of Technology, The University of Lund, Umeå University Hospital and representatives from Sectra AB (Medical imageing) and Surgical Science AB (surgical simulation).

More members are welcome. We wish to perform studies and to inspire more scientific research on surgical training, certification & re-certification.
